ForkDesk

Tuning-fork frequency reference, evidence-graded, with a regimen builder that researches before it recommends.
Common starting points: Neck/shoulders Sleep after nights Tension headache Low back Stress / grounding Tinnitus
A Established clinical use of this exact frequency (e.g. diagnostic vibration testing).   B Peer-reviewed research exists for the frequency band or mechanism, but not settled.   C Traditional, esoteric or anecdotal. Not disproven, not demonstrated — testable by you.
Strike mode models a real fork: partial above the fundamental, ~8 s decay. Use it to match forks by ear, or to run an "audio only" session when the fork isn't with you. Binaural mode plays carrier ± half the beat to each ear; a physical fork cannot do this, so treat it as a separate experiment.

Record a fork
Quiet room, phone or mic 10–20 cm from the tines. Press Record, strike the fork on a rubber activator or your knee (never metal), hold it still, and stop after it fades. ForkDesk measures the true pitch, the deviation from nominal, and how long it rings.
Collection
Recordings live in this browser's IndexedDB (not synced). Export keeps audio as base64 in the JSON. Saved forks auto-fill "Forks you own" in the Regimen Builder.
Log a session
Rate the target symptom before and after. Over weeks this is your own evidence — the only kind that settles tier-C questions for you personally.
History
Model
Any current Claude model ID. Sonnet is a good default; Opus for deeper literature synthesis.

Key lives in localStorage under fd_anthropic_key, sent only to api.anthropic.com.

How the research step works
When you build a regimen, the app sends your description plus this app's own frequency database to Claude with instructions to (1) search for current evidence if web research is on, (2) separate what is clinically established from what is traditional, (3) propose a concrete schedule — which fork, where, how long, how often, for how many weeks — and (4) say plainly when something should be seen by a clinician instead. The output is returned as structured JSON and rendered here; the raw reasoning is kept under "Show sources".
ForkDesk is a reference and self-experimentation tool, not a medical device and not medical advice. Tuning forks have established clinical use for testing vibration sense and hearing; their therapeutic use is largely traditional, with a limited research base around vibration analgesia, 40 Hz sensory stimulation and whole-body vibration. New, severe, or worsening symptoms — chest pain, neurological changes, unexplained weight loss, fever — need a clinician, not a fork. Avoid weighted-fork application over fractures, DVT, active tumors, pacemakers, recent surgery, or the abdomen in pregnancy.
